How to book:

Mahu Miles is a dedicated running service designed for dogs who need a little extra. It’s a 45-minute, structured, one-on-one run at pace with a marathon-trainer. It's the cardio and mental clarity your working breed is craving.

This service is tailored for high-energy dogs who remain restless even after their owners have finished a long day of work. It is ideal for working breeds, high-drive dogs, and those who struggle to settle without significant exercise. Whether your dog is a natural sprinter, an endurance jogger, or simply needs a constructive outlet for pent-up energy, Mahu Miles provides the physical and mental release they need to truly relax at home.

  • 1-on-1 focus: Structured, solo runs tailored to your dog's fitness level.

  • Full data: A map of their route and a tally of the kilometers they smashed.

  • Proof of pace: Photos of your dog running like the wind.

  • Door-to-door service: Convenient pick-up and drop-off included.

  • Peace of mind: The same professional, flexible, force-free service you expect from Mahu Mutts.

$64.00 p/run

  • Fill out the form: Head to the Book Now page and give us some details.

  • Meet & Greet: We will get in touch to arrange an initial consultation. This allows us to discuss your goals, assess your dog’s current fitness level, and ensure they are entirely comfortable working with a runner before we schedule their first session.

  • Hit the road: Once everyone is happy, we book your slots and your dog is ready to run.

Wairarapa Weather Backup: If the classic Featherston wind or rain turns into a severe weather warning, we won't leave you hanging. We’ll switch the session to a home check-in to let your dog out for a potty break, refresh their water, and give them some company.

  • No. Mahu Miles is strictly a one-on-one service. Your dog gets 100% of my attention to ensure they stay safe, focused, and run at a pace that suits them perfectly.

  • Dogs must be fitted with a secure, comfortable harness that allows full shoulder movement. We use a secure running belt and a specialized bungee leash to absorb any sudden pulls or shocks, keeping your dog safe is the priority.

  • To start, we will only be servicing Featherston however depending on demand and availability we hope to branch out into South Wairarapa.

  • We run rain or shine, but extreme weather will affect our ability to safely perform the service. Extreme heat, heavy winds, rain, or official weather warnings mean we will pivot for safety. In these cases, the run can be replaced with a home check-in, which includes letting your dog out for a toilet break, refreshing their food and water, and hanging out with them so they aren't left alone for too long.

  • At the initial meet & greet I will assess suitability to the service and it is on a case by case basis. Every dog is different and responds in different ways. We use safe, controlled routes and avoid heavy trigger areas to keep things as stress-free as possible so tell s about your dog and we will go from there.

  • Yes, the runner will track your dog’s run and provide a map with a photo or video of your dog running off all that energy.
